How does the subscription work?

You receive the starter kit and 3 months of film up front, then we charge £25/month to cover development and your next 3 seasonal films. Delivered in batches and shipped every 90 days along with 3 new development credits for as long as you subscribe. Film is a learning process and building a gallery won't happen after one roll. Batching deliveries means you get more than one film at a time and we can keep delivery costs down.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time, one button in your account. You keep the camera and anything already shipped. No questions, no hassle.

What film do you use?

We make our own 35mm films, all on limited runs. This season it's golden and grainy Niras. It's forgiving, loves the summer sun and is perfect for taking photos of people nice and close with the flash on. You can put any other 35mm film in your CATCH camera.

What happens if I mess up the shots?

Honestly, you will - some shots will be blurry, some overexposed, one or two might be double-exposed by accident. That's part of it. The camera is designed so the common mistakes (under-winding, bad lighting) are hard to make, and we send tips and tricks by email to help you get the most out of each roll.

What if my film gets lost in the post?

Happens to about 1 in 1000 rolls. Reinforce the mailer bag or upgrade to a tracked delivery for extra protection.

How fast do I get my photos?

Within 72 hours of receiving your film, so normally 7 days after you send. We don't sit on them - we know you want them and getting them back is the best part. Worth the wait.

Can I get prints?

We don't sell prints directly - you get high-resolution digital scans, easy to share. Some customers print one or two once they have seen the whole lot.

Can I use my own film with the camera?

Yes - any 35mm film works in the CATCH camera, and we can develop them anytime using our digital development service.

Does this work for weddings?

Yes - check our camera + film kits for multiple cameras and films to shoot weddings, parties and any event from every angle.

Is there a warranty on the camera?

Yes - 90 days if the camera is faulty. Email us with your order number and we'll send a replacement.

Do you ship outside the UK?

Not yet - but drop us a message on Instagram @catchcameras if you're really desperate and we'll see what we can do.

How do I load the film?

There's an easy-to-follow guide and it's important to learn. Once you have done it once, it's really easy.

Can I open the back of the camera after loading?

No - this will expose the film to light and ruin your photos. Always make sure the film is fully wound back in before opening. The camera has a small indicator window so you can see if film is loaded.
