CATCH COLLECTIVE: CATCHIN' SHINE
A community-led analogue photography project turning real moments into print to celebrate creativity and generosity.
CATCH COLLECTIVE, Edition 01: Catchin' Shine.
A community-led analogue photo zine caught on a CATCH film camera. We hand a camera to artists we love, give them a month, and let them show their world honestly.
Edition 01 was shot by Edie Ashley and Joel Kerr over two weeks across Brazil and Salvador in February 2026. It shows Carnival moments in full swing, swirly streets and slow mornings reenergising in the jungle. It celebrates real moments, overlooked perspectives and the beauty of imperfection. Inside are photos you only get when you slow down and look closer.
Edie and Joel then carefully curated and annotated the edition with hand-written notes and drawings, bringing the photos to life. Printed, bound, and made to live off a screen, and for you to enjoy.
All profits will be donated to Shine Camera Club, as part of our collective support for the charity and to encourage children to pick up a camera and create without fear.

Joel Kerr is a filmmaker and artist working in portraiture, nature, movement and detail. His sound design and analogue processing keep a rawness in everything he makes.
